Admission Requirements
- Grade 12 or its equivalent
- An equivalent NQF level 4 qualification.
- National Certificate (N3)

Purpose
The purpose of the Diploma in Tourism Management is to afford undergraduate students with quality education and skills that they are able to implement within the tourism sector. The graduate will have the appropriate knowledge to successfully bridge the gap of a quality workforce in the Tourism sector. The programme provides greater career opportunities in entry-level positions of different functional roles in the Tourism sector.
The Diploma is directed at those currently employed within the tourism industry as well as those aspiring to enter into the tourism industry, specifically focusing on post matric students who aim to enter into this industry.
The programmes aims to develop graduates with practical skills required to effectively perform their duties. Through the coursework, the programme in turn aims to develop potential entrepreneurs within the tourism industry who will effectively contribute to the economy of our country and enhance and promote the effective application of skills and knowledge within the fast-paced tourism industry whilst addressing issues of unemployment in South Africa.

Award
A student will qualify for a National N Diploma in Tourism on completion of a minimum of 12 subjects, ranging from N4 – N6, together with a minimum of 18 months of in-service training.

The N Certificate is issued by the National Department of Education and is recognized by Commerce and Industry.
